Expert Suspension Service

Worn suspension components don't just make your ride uncomfortable—they affect braking, steering response, and tire wear. If your vehicle pulls to one side, bounces excessively, or makes clunking sounds over bumps, it's time for a suspension check.

Our technicians are trained on all suspension types from simple MacPherson struts to complex adaptive suspension systems. We use proper tools and procedures to ensure safe, lasting repairs.

Signs of Worn Suspension

Bouncy Ride

If your vehicle continues bouncing after hitting a bump, your shocks or struts are worn. This affects braking distance and control.

Vehicle Pulls to Side

Pulling can indicate alignment issues, worn tie rods, or uneven tire pressure. Get it checked to prevent uneven tire wear.

Clunking Over Bumps

Metallic clunks usually mean worn bushings, loose ball joints, or worn tie rod ends. These are safety-critical components.

Uneven Tire Wear

Feathering or bald spots on tires indicate alignment or suspension problems. This is expensive to ignore.

Why Alignment Matters

After any suspension work, we strongly recommend a wheel alignment. Proper alignment ensures:

  • Even tire wear extending tire life by thousands of miles
  • Straight, stable steering without pulling
  • Proper braking stability and shortest stopping distances
  • Improved fuel efficiency from reduced rolling resistance

FAQ

Common Questions

We recommend an alignment every 12,000 miles or annually, whichever comes first. You should also get one after hitting a significant pothole or curb, after suspension repairs, or if you notice uneven tire wear or the vehicle pulling.
Stand at each corner and push down hard on the bumper. If the vehicle bounces more than once before settling, your shocks are worn. Other signs include excessive body roll in corners, nose dive during braking, and the vehicle feeling unstable on the highway.
Bad alignment itself usually causes uneven tire wear and pulling rather than vibration. Vibration at speed is more likely related to tires (out of balance or irregular wear), wheel bearings, or brake components. We'll diagnose the root cause accurately.
For safety and handling, we recommend replacing shocks/struts in pairs (both front or both rear). Mixing old and new components can cause unstable handling and uneven braking. If one is worn, the other is likely close behind.
