Modern engines typically require oil changes every 5,000-7,500 miles with conventional oil or 7,500-10,000 miles with full synthetic. However, if you frequently tow, drive in dusty conditions, make many short trips, or drive extensively in stop-and-go traffic, more frequent changes may be beneficial. Check your owner's manual for manufacturer recommendations.
Warning signs include squealing or grinding noises when braking, a spongy or long pedal, vehicle pulling to one side, or dashboard warning lights. Even without symptoms, we recommend inspection every 12,000 miles or annually to catch wear before it becomes a safety issue.
